She’s currently ASA’s Chief Executive Officer, where she takes pride in building relationships and seeking collaborative, innovative solutions to Workforce Development for Alaska. She is blessed with an awesome staff, amazing mentors and supportive industry partners who make her job meaningful and fun. When not in the office, you will likely find Cari-Ann wherever there are fish to be caught, with fly rod in hand. Naomi DuCharme Executive Director, Alaska Safety Alliance With over 20 years of management experience and a decade dedicated to occupational safety and health within the private construction and energy sectors, Naomi is deeply committed to advancing worker health, safety, and wellbeing in her home state of Alaska. Recognizing the pivotal role injury, illness, and fatality prevention and promotion of health, safety and wellbeing play in not only individual worker’s lives, but in business retention and productivity, and local economic performance, Naomi is well equipped to partner across industry, education/training, government and nonprofit entities to maximize impact without exhausting resources. Naomi is proud to live, work, and play in Alaska! Mari Selle Executive Director, Alaska Workforce Alliance As Executive Director for the Alaska Workforce Alliance, Mariko (Mari) Selle is leading a statewide effort to bring together industry, government, and educational institutions to meet the needs of Alaska’s workforce. Mari brings over twenty years of experience in the Alaskan workforce development, health and quality improvement sectors that strengthen Alaskans. Mari’s background includes C-Suite nonprofit leadership, C-Suite rural hospital leadership, and work at the State of Alaska and the University of Alaska Anchorage. With a master’s degree in Public Health, she enjoys examining the interconnection between economic and social wellness. Mari serves on several boards in her community that focus on improving Alaskan lives. Mari enjoys outdoor adventures, scuba diving in sunny locations, and spending quality time with her husband raising their four active children. Carrie Parashar Project Manager Carrie Parashar joins ASA with 15+ years of experience supporting Alaska’s oil and gas industry, both on and off the North Slope. Since 2007, she has specialized in construction and operations health, safety and environmental training development and delivery, as well as compliance-database administration and project-turnover coordination. Carrie holds a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification, a degree in Project Management, and other training certifications. Prior North Slope experience includes field safety on Point Thomson, Skid 50, various pipeline-renewal projects and construction-turnover coordination. Julio Lopez Linehan Learning Software Support Specialist Julio Lopez Linehan joined ASA in spring 2024. He is a new addition to the great state of Alaska, previously working in the lower 48 as an engineer testing databases. He’s eager to improve and expand ASA’s online training platform to provide comprehensive workplace safety trainings in expanding industries, and to make the system as pain-free as possible for users and administrators. When he’s not hard at work in our office, you’re likely to spot Julio running the coastal trail or hiking the beautiful mountains surrounding Anchorage. Leighan Gonzales Office Administrator Leighan Gonzales joined ASA in October 2023. Born and raised in East Anchorage, Leighan is people-focused and results-driven, with experience ranging from community organizing and legislative affairs to government administration and paralegal work. When she isn’t adventuring with her tiny dog or spending time with her grandparents, Leighan can be found at the Dome playing soccer or out on the trails, re-learning how to ski. Taylor Cronin-Segura Administrative and Technical Assistant Taylor Cronin-Segura joined ASA in June 2024. A lifelong Alaskan, Taylor brings diverse experience, ranging from project coordination in telecommunications to administration with the State of Alaska. Taylor’s career background emphasizes customer service, collaboration, and technical support, ensuring seamless operations and client satisfaction. Outside of work, Taylor enjoys fitness, martial arts, music, and traveling around the state.
