Join us to learn about Women in Construction in the State of Alaska. Where are we now, and where are we headed? We invite anyone with a vested interest in the construction industry in Alaska to join us, including employers, recruiters, and anyone interested or currently working in construction or construction-related industries.

- 9:00- Welcome & National Association of Women in Construction Alaska Chapter Presentation
- 9:30- Karinne Wiebold, Economist, State of Alaska will be presenting on the federal infrastructure investment in Alaska and the impact on the economy and workforce, as well as providing us with an overview of women’s current and potential future impact on Alaska’s economy specific to construction and related industries.
- 10:30- Break
- 10:45- National Center for Construction Education & Research Presentation of “In Her Own Words”, a project that surveyed women in construction to highlight the unique benefits women bring to the construction craft workforce, the obstacles they encounter getting in and staying in the industry, and their advice on what contractors can do to recruit and retain more women in the craft workforce.
- 12:00- Lunch – Join Naomi DuCharme, CHST, CPC for Health, Safety, and Wellness in Construction. We will discuss real concerns and real strategies to integrate health, safety, and wellness at all levels of an organization.
